Lazar Đorđević (b. 1992, Kragujevac) is a contemporary music composer based in Belgrade. He graduated from the Department of Composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he also earned his DMA under the supervision of Prof. Zoran Erić. Đorđević has furthered his professional development abroad, participating in composition workshops led by Yann Robin, Vinko Globokar, Annelies van Parys, and Johannes Kretz, among others.
Works by Lazar Đorđević have been performed multiple times at concerts and festivals both in Serbia and internationally, including in Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, Albania, Canada, among others. He won awards for composition such as Stevan Hristić Award (2015), Josip Slavenski Award (2017) and St. George’s Award (2023) and first prizes in composition competitions Euphonia (2016), Rossifest (2021) and WBYO Call for composers (2023). He has composed over 40 compositions for various ensembles, ranging from solo and chamber works to orchestral and music-theatre pieces. Đorđević is currently employed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade.
